 Inspiration From Your Child

On most occasions it seems like it's always the parent or guardian doing the inspiring. While many of us as leaders whether you are a mom or dad, have a profession such as an attorney, pastor, teacher or some other form of training, it's never too late to be inspired by your child.

After many years of self examination thinking I have been doing things quite well over the last decade or two; I have come to the conclusion how I have fallen short on many occasions. I was told several years ago to consider returning to school, which at the time I was told to go back to school I was not interested in furthering my education. Well, after the last several years I have made the decision to finally go back to school. I was inspired to do so because of my daughter's academic achievement. Her learning abilities have inspired me to the degree that I decided to seriously return back to school to pursue a college degree.

It took me some time to realize my daughter's academic success was no mistake. She has learned the basics of reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies and has conquered each subject with honors. We all can be inspired one way or another. One of the best ways to be inspired is through your own child.

I have noticed how my whole demeanor, vocabulary, and outlook on life and education have changed for the better. While my heart is still in the area of educating people in an unorthodox way, I now know that the formal way of educating others is a privilege and a blessing to teach others how to improve their current situation to advance in life . As long as we have breath in our bodies, have a mind to think clearly and critically, then I would recommend pursuing an education to the fullest to gain a wealth of additional knowledge you may already have along with your life experiences. Though life is a continual education, learning in a formal way helps us all avoid making costly mistakes through trial and error.

I thank God for my one and only child who keep me focused to want to continue learning each and every day. I want to encourage you to take the time to listen to your child, be inspired by him or her in such a way that they will convince and teach you of today's modern methods of learning in today's society. To take advantage of the golden opportunities that exist today, having an education is one way to secure your dreams to make them become realities. Once you have the knowledge you need to do whatever you want to do in life, no one can take that knowledge away from you. You can buy an education with money; but you can only be inspired by the one who loves you the most, your own flesh and blood.

Your child or children are an asset to you and not a liability. Look, Children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of your womb is a reward. Psalm 127:3.
